Our new brand and seven free tools to help you plan your workspace upgrade
Our team at iQ Workspace, with more than 30 years of experience, has helped businesses across the East of England and beyond plan, design, furnish, and install workspaces that work.
We’re finally unveiling a new look and launching something we think matters far more than a logo: the iQ Resource Suite.
Why we've changed
The offices we plan today are calmer, more natural and built around focus and hybrid working. Our old identity positioned us purely as furniture suppliers, rather than the design partner we have become.
It no longer reflected the work we actually do, which starts with space planning and creative concept design long before a single chair is specified.
Our new palette draws on the spaces we create.
- Deep Charcoal Olive for strength without shouting.
- Reseda Green for the places where work gets done.
- Sage and Platinum for room to think.
- Pale Dogwood and Cinereous for the warm details people notice when they walk in.
What hasn't changed
The same team, the same contacts and the same service. We’re still based at Manor Farm Barns in Norwich, with our distribution centre in Lowestoft.
If you’ve worked with us before, you’ll speak to the same people, and your account details will stay exactly as they are.
What's new: the iQ Resource Suite
The questions most businesses ask, regardless of size, are:
- How much space do we need?
- What will it cost?
- Are we wasting money today?
These free tools protect your data privacy, so you can confidently enter your workspace details without worry.
The Office Space Cost Estimator
The question it answers: how much space does our team actually need?
- What you enter: Your headcount, your hybrid working pattern, the style of workspace you want and your region.
- What you get: A realistic floor area, a recommended desk-sharing ratio and a suggested split between desks, collaboration space and quiet rooms, with indicative furniture costs. Your results show on screen, and you can have a full PDF report emailed to you to share with colleagues.
- Best for: Operations and Facilities leads planning a move or a refit. Run it before you speak to an agent, so you go into viewings knowing your number.
Lease Waste Calculator
The question it answers: are we paying for desks nobody uses?
- What you enter: your rent per square foot, your headcount and the average number of days your team works remotely.
- What you get: an estimate of the floor area you lease but don’t use, and what it costs you each year. Because business rates, service charges, and energy scale with floor area, the calculator adds these running costs to your rent figure, so the number reflects the true cost of space, not just rent.
- Best for: Finance Directors and CFOs building a case before a lease break or renewal. It takes under two minutes, and your figure appears on screen straight away.
Talent Attraction Audit
The question it answers: is our office costing us good candidates?
- What you do: answer a short set of questions about your reception, your desks, your meeting spaces and where people take calls.
- What you get: a clear verdict on your office and an estimate of candidate drop-off, so you can show leadership where your space may be costing you hires.
- Best for: HR Directors and Heads of Talent who suspect the office is working against their hiring.
Office Relocation Playbook
The question it answers: what do we need to do, and when, to move without disruption?
- What’s inside: a 12-month timeline covering solicitors and agents, broadband and IT migration, furniture lead times, temporary storage, and dilapidation. It shows you what to book at each stage and how to plan a weekend move, so you don’t lose a trading day.
- Best for: anyone with a lease ending in the next one to two years. If you’re moving in 2027, the clock has already started.
Furniture and Fit-Out Cost Guide
The question it answers: what will our office project realistically cost?
- What’s inside: 2026 cost ranges for task seating, sit-stand desks, acoustic pods, and meeting room set-ups at standard, mid-range, and premium levels. It also covers the costs that most often catch budgets out: delivery logistics, out-of-hours installation and waste clearance.
- Best for: anyone who needs a credible budget figure for a board paper or a funding request.
Budget-Savvy Workspace Guide
The question it answers: where can we save, and where must we not?
- What’s inside: practical advice on where to spend less, such as modular storage instead of bespoke joinery and standard desk frames instead of designer ones. It’s equally clear on where cutting corners costs more later: acoustics, power and data, and certified ergonomic seating.
- Best for: growing businesses and smaller teams who want a professional result on a tight budget.
Hybrid Workspace Playbook
The question it answers: how do we design an office for a team that isn’t all in at once?
- What’s inside: how to plan focus zones and collaboration hubs, how to choose a desk-sharing ratio that suits your attendance pattern, and the furniture and set-ups that make hybrid days work, from lockers people trust to rooms where a video call doesn’t feel like a broadcast.
- Best for: leadership teams rethinking the office after hybrid working became permanent.
